Ravishing Raven! The big Holiday Special giveaway, featuring LeLutka and 53 other stores!

Ravishing Raven! The big Holiday Special giveaway, featuring LeLutka and 53 other stores!

Hi peeps!

Oh my giddy aunt, have I been BUSY! I’ve spent almost the entire day shuttling around the Second Life grid, picking up gift after gift from the stupendously generous Holiday Special Giveaway. There are 54 stores taking part, including LeLutka with two free gift mesh heads – one male and one female – from their gorgeous EvoX range, so if you’ve not been able to afford a mesh head before, or you want to get some alts kitted out with some gorgeousity (totally a word, and not because I just made it up) then you need to take a bit of time to grab this stuff!

There’s a ton of stuff included, and it’s all free, but here is one skin that knocked me for six when I put it on, so I used it for the banner image for this post!

Isn’t that absolutely Be-YOU-tiful?! I was seal-clapping like a loony when it rezzed; it’s just so lovely!

In the above pic, I’m wearing the Raven gift head from LeLutka, and I deliberately kept the default shape (but blended it with my preferred body shape by copying the body shape numbers over to the head shape numbers). I’m also wearing the lightest tone of the head’s eyes. And the skin? That’s the ‘Rae’ Skin from IVES Beauty, again, completely free! This is the ‘Icy’ skintone, and you can find the matching body skin from the ‘Venus’ range at Velour. If you use Velour’s ‘Ipanema’ body skin range, this skin also contains matches to that one, too! It comes in the following tones: Blush, Chantilly, Cloudy, Glam, Ibiza, Icy, Porcelain, Praline, Rose Kiss, Sienna, Snow, Sunkiss, and Valley, and it has both brows and no-brows versions included, together with a shape, a brow-shaper, and the matching ear tattoo layers that EvoX heads need.

There’s a ton of skins in the big giveaway, covering all the tones you could possibly need, including a fantasy tone set from Nuve.

Skin creators in the giveaway include: ALT3, Amara Beauty, Avarosa, Bold & Beauty, Clef de Peau, Deetalez, Dernier, Glam Affair, Gloom, Heaux, IVES Beauty, Koonz, LeLapeau, Lueur, Moccino, Mudskin, NonNative, Not Found, Nuve, Pumec, Tres Beau, The Skinnery, plus Velour with body skins, for Legacy F, and eBody Reborn only.

Guys, you’re not left out either! To go with your free ‘Quinn’ EvoX head from LeLutka, there are free skin offerings from: Avarosa, Avi-Glam, Bold & Beauty, Clef de Peau, Not Found, NXS/CheerNo, and Stray Dog. Giveaways like these tend always to favour the ladies of SL, but you chaps also have hair from Vango, ADE, and Doux, plus hairbases from Modulus and Volkstone.

In addition to all that (as if that wasn’t enough!) there’s a load of makeup, jewellery, hair, shapes, piercings, eyes, tattoos, and other stuff. Because it’s almost Christmas (just a couple of hours to go for me here in the UK!) I’ve added some lippy from the event (by ALT3) and some sparkly eyeshadows from Alaskametro (which I already had in my inventory).

All glammed up and ready for a party!

A little note before you begin zipping around the grid: you’ll need at least one or two group slots free, as almost all of these gifts require you to join the relevant store’s group in order to get the gift. I’ve seen quite a few people suggesting this, but while you’re at each store (and still have their group tag active) hunt around to see if they have a group gift wall. I picked up tons of extra goodies that way! Also, some of these stores are worth keeping the group, if you have enough free slots. Those ones usually have fees to join them (sometimes up to L$300) but right now they’re all free to join, so it’s time to get yourself and your alts into them if you can!

As I whizzed around the grid, I found two stores – Heaux and Nuve – that have a daily ‘click here to increase your store credit’ thingy that’s a group only thing, so those are two of the groups that are definitely worth keeping on!

You can find all the info about the participants in this event, here on Seraphim. Start with one of the linked regions at the top, to pick up your free LeLutka head(s) (and the free LeLapeau skins also there) and while you’re there, click the big sign about the event. That will give you the list of participating stores that you can paste into chat and start clicking those SLurls. The event ends on 30th December 2022, so you have a week to get everything!

Happy gift-grabbing, and a Merry Christmas from Mar!

Free Dove Feature: FurtaCor dress & heels

Free Dove Feature: FurtaCor dress & heels

  • Mesh body parts required for the dress & shoes
  • Dress & shoes are free. 50L for skin, group join fees for hair & jewellery

Hi peeps!

Here’s another Free Dove feature for you, with a gorgeous texture-change dress and shoes from FurtaCor. I love this, because there are so many mix-n-match options for plain colours and patterns between the main body of the dress, its drapey section (totally a word, and totally because I can’t think of the proper word!) and the shoes.

You’ll find the dress at The Free Dove. You’ll need to be in the (free-to-join) Free Dove group, and to have the ‘Blessed by a Dove’ group tag active when you click in order to get the item.

The dress is rigged for Maitreya, Slink Physique & Hourglass, and TMP bodies, while the shoes are rigged for Maitreya, Slink, and TMP. Mar’s opted for the pretty red floral option here, but as you can see from the HUD you can chop and change multiple options, so you can have a plain-colour dress, a patterned dress, patterned dress with plain drape, and plain dress with patterned drape. You can also have plain or pattern on the shoes. I love outfits that come with this much customisability! (I’m really doing well with the new words here, aren’t I? lol!)

Gotta just show the fabby shoes as well. I really love this style!

Moving on to the skin, and this gorge ‘Dreams’ Omega applier (for both face and body) is a 50L offer by 7 Deadly Skins. It comes with the red lipstick already on it, and it was initially put out for July 4th, but it’s still on the desk in the mainstore, so if you want it, hurry over there to pick it up! (Guys, you’ll also find a completely FREE shape for the Akeruka ‘Leon’ head that was recently a free gift on the desk, so if you have that head, that’s one you might want to pick up, too.)

Mar’s eyeshadow is another lovely freebie tester by alaskametro. This one’s the ‘Soiree’ version (Marketplace links to: Lelutka, Catwa, and Omega versions). Alaska is so incredibly generous to offer one shade of each of her makeups absolutely free, as wearable testers.

Mar’s hair is the July group gift from Truth. As I’ve mentioned several times before, if you can stump up the L$350 join fee for the Truth VIP group, it is SO worth it! Every month you’ll get a full fatpack – usually including a styling HUD for even more options! – of Truth’s gorgeous hair. This lovely ‘Gwen’ style has options for a braid, flowers, or nothing around the pulled-back loose bun, as well as many different options for the bangs/fringe and little wispy bits.

Finally, another group with a join fee is Kunglers Fashion Design. For the L$50 join fee this month you’ll get this beautiful jewellery set. The ‘Dalva’ rings come with gem options for crystal, topaz, and tourmaline, and the ‘Jeska’ earrings come with gem options for quartz, topaz, tourmaline, and obsidian.

Free Dove Feature: Lurve dress

Free Dove Feature: Lurve dress

  • Mesh feet required for the shoes. The dress is for both mesh and system avatars
  • Mostly free! (50L for necklace, 99L for shoes)

Hi peeps!

The second Free Dove Feature for today is this lovely, leg-revealing dress from Lurve. It comes with fitmesh fits for: Maitreya, Slink (Physique & Hourglass), Belleza, TMP, and Standard Sizing for classic avatars. The ‘partial pants’ have appliers for Maitreya, Slink, and Omega, an installer for TMP, and system clothing pants. The dress also comes with a pretty 4-strand pink pearl necklace, but Mar opted for something a bit different. More on that in a minute!

Mar has teamed it with the stunning ‘Harmony’ hair in platinum from the current Sn@tch ‘Fish for This’ outfit (this round closes on Wednesday 27th June, so if you want it, get busy fishing! Info on how to fish can be found in this post) and the L$99 ‘Giada’ heels from KC Couture (Marketplace link) for Maitreya, Belleza, Slink, and TMP. As with so many KC Couture shoes, you get a huge colour-change HUD for all the different sections of the shoes.

The necklace Mar is wearing is the oh-so-lovely L$50 ‘Heart Charm Necklace’ from Bowtique (Marketplace link). You get a HUD containing 20 colour options each for the ribbon and the heart charm, plus 5 metals. As an added bonus, the whole thing can be edited, so you can select the white options and then tint the ribbon and heart to match your outfit!

Mar is wearing the free ‘Bali’ tester eyeshadow from Alaskametro (Marketplace link for Catwa and Lelutka appliers, plus system tattoo layer) which she’s blended on her Catwa head to show more of the pink and less of the gold, plus the free ‘Nurain’ Catwa lipstick applier from Essences (Marketplace link).

(Check out Alaskametro’s Marketplace store for more fabulous freebie testers! Just put tester in the search once you have her store page open.)

Free Dove feature: Composer Girls outfit

Free Dove feature: Composer Girls outfit

  • Mesh body parts required for the clothing and footwear
  • Absolutely free!

Xanadu, your neon lights will shine for you, Xanaduuuuuu!

*cough*

Hi peeps!

Today’s Free Dove feature has me breaking out the Olivia Newton-John lyrics. (Or, as one much-loved old British radio broadcaster used to call her, Olivia Neutron-Bomb). It’s the ‘Xanadu’ outfit by Composer Girls Fashion, and it’s a fabulous total throwback to the 80s!

This outfit, while it has options for many different mesh bodies, can only be worn in totality on Maitreya Lara. That’s because the applier for the white tank only comes with a Maitreya option. However, there are plenty of other applier tops out there that you could use on other bodies, so don’t let that put you off! CORRECTION: Oops, my bad! When I was filing this outfit I noticed an Omega applier for the top, so you can wear it on other bodies, as long as you have the correct Omega relay for that body.

The rigging is as follows for this outfit:

Pants: Maitreya, Belleza (Venus, Freya, Isis), Slink (Physique, Hourglass)
Jacket: Maitreya, Belleza (Venus, Freya, Isis), Slink (Physique, Hourglass)
Shoes: Maitreya, Belleza, Slink
Tank applier: Maitreya only

You also get a necklace and bracelet, but those were so thin and fine they didn’t photograph too well for these pics. So, instead, Mar opted for this cute little heart choker from Chop Zuey at The Free Dove. And, finally, her hair is one of the styles by Sassitude at The Free Dove. The ‘Amie’ hair comes with a HUD containing 11 colour options.

Group Gifties Galore from Legendaire!

Group Gifties Galore from Legendaire!

Hi, peeps!

Yesterday I promised to blog more about the group gifts from Legendaire, but after heading back to the store today I realised it would take several posts to show the gazillions (ok, lots – lol!) of things you can grab from there, all for the measly cost of the L$49 group join fee. So instead of putting on lots of clothes, I’ve taken screenshots of all the gift walls so you can see how generous this group is!

  • No mesh body or body parts required. Many of these work for classic avatars! (Also with several mesh bodies and heeled feet.)
  • Minimal spend look. Just L$49 for the group join fee!

First up, as you enter the store you’ll find this wall full of the current gifts. Most of these are full outfits that come with footwear as well as fitting several mesh bodies and standard sizing:

The group join kiosk is just there to the right. And once you’ve picked up all of those, take that teleporter to the Freebies and Discounts section of the store, where you’ll find two more walls of free stuff!

Outfits, accessories, heels… you name it, it’s there! You’ll also find some L$10 ‘mystery prize’ boxes dotted around the store, and in the lobby area where you first enter, on the far wall to your left, you’ll find another lot of cheapie deals for the various weekly events like 50L Friday.

Here’s your taxi to Legendaire, and here’s a link to join the group (join cost of L$49). Have fun filling up your inventory!

Ad-HoC: a treasure trove of freebies from House of Curios!

Ad-HoC: a treasure trove of freebies from House of Curios!

Hi, peeps!

Those of you who have been following SL4Nowt for a long time will remember that I often blogged about footwear from HoC (aka: House of Curios, aka: HoC Industries). Creator Guu Nishi hopped on the prim footed-shoe bandwagon early on, and made some fantastic heels for incredibly affordable prices. She also made great shoes for the guys, too. But she eventually shut up shop and moved on.

So, imagine my delight when, on a drive-by trip a couple of days ago to the Stillman Bazaar (a Linden-owned freebie bazaar where anyone can place free – and mostly full-permission – items for other residents to take, I discovered a box with this hovertext on it:

I grabbed it and took it back home to unpack. Another box was inside this box, but when I unpacked that box, I was seal-clapping like crazy, because it contains just about every single thing that Guu Nishi put out for sale at HoC. And it’s all free and full-permission!

Included is a notecard from Guu herself, which reads as follows:

This pack contains every (everything I can cleanly package up) release from HOC Industries over the past 9 years. I always said that when I closed up shop I’d make everything available for free with full permissions and well, here we are!

Let’s get down to the nitty gritty rules and stuff:

You can give, sell, modify, or do anything you like with the stuff in this box. Enjoy it!

Basically, don’t use any of this stuff for evil and we’re cool.

That’s pretty much everything! There will be no support given for anything in this box, it’s all full mod so you can sort it out if you need to :) Everything should work as expected though.

Have fun! If you feel this has been useful for you, a couple of lindens in my hat would be a lovely gesture! Not a requirement though so only if you want to.

Until we meet again,

Guu Nishi

HOC Industries (2007 – 2016)

This is such a generous act. Thank you so much, Guu! It’s going to enable me to put together an updated newbie avatar box, and I’m going to pack up some of the clothing items (especially the ones for the guys!) to put out as freebies in the Del Mar Store. I’m so happy to finally have some great, always-there free footwear to point newbie guys towards!

Inside the box, you’ll find tons of items, from female clothing and footwear to male clothing and footwear, plus some furniture, accessories (such as watches, glasses, and sunglasses for both genders), and a couple of buildings. Some of it is older clothing layer items, some of the footwear makes use of the old ‘invisiprims’ (so it may or may not work, depending on the viewer you’re using, but since it’s all full-permission, you can edit it to remove the invisiprims and use some of the freely-available alpha layers on Marketplace instead; see the end of this post for some links for those), some of the clothing and footwear contains sculpts, and then there’s some mesh clothing (in standard sizing) and even a pair of gorgeous colour-change heels that fit Slink High and Maitreya feet!

All-in-all it’s a fabulous haul of goodies! I’m going to stop blethering on about it now, and show you some of the items. But first, you’re probably going to want to know where to find this thing, right?

Here’s the SLurl for Stillman Bazaar. As per the screenshot below, you’ll land high up, and you need to head towards the red beam. You’ll find the plain dark grey box on the floor at the back, just behind a little white particle cloud:

As for the rest of this post, hop behind the cut :)

A celestial lovely from Al Vulo!

A celestial lovely from Al Vulo!

Hi, peeps!

Today’s bargainous gifty is a lovely skin from Al Vulo!

You’ll need to join the Al Vulo! group (it’s free-to-join) and have your group tag active. Once you’re at the store, turn away from it and walk through the garden to the little wooden hut. You’ll find the gift inside there on the back wall.

I’m not sure how old this skin is, because it doesn’t have Omega appliers, and the appliers that it does have are old ones: Wowmeh, Lolas Tango, and Phat Azz. However, it also contains a system skin, plus appliers for Slink hands and feet.

I fell in love with this cute little butterfly fascinator when I was at the Swallow store. It’s a group gift (L$30 to join, and several group gifts on the wall) and it comes in eight colours.

Mar’s hair is a great dollarbie from FABIA on Marketplace. You get a 30-colour ‘naturals’ HUD with this, so you have all the basic blondes, browns, reds, and monochromes.

As for the dress, oh my goodness it’s a pretty one. It’s from AnaLee Balut, and you’ll find it as a group gift (with two colour options) in the ALB store. Be warned, though: the group does cost a lot – L$500 – to join. However, I love AnaLee’s textures and designs, and if you hover your cursor over most of the outfit sets in the store, you’ll find absolutely tons of group gifts and wearable demos. So, if you can scrape up the cash, I recommend it!

Lastly, the shoes. I was so happy to find these heels. They’re a L$65 bargain (ignore the mistake I made in the price on the image – oops!) from Ben’s Boutique on Marketplace, and they’re for Slink High feet only. You get a 16-colour HUD, plus options for the chains, so you can match them with lots of outfits.

And Gabriel appeared and said unto the avatar, “Lo! I bear freebies!”

And Gabriel appeared and said unto the avatar, “Lo! I bear freebies!”

*giggles*

Gabriel has some fabby gifts available for its group members. The group’s free-to-join (you know the drill by now: paste this link into chat, click it to bring up the group window, etc). With your group tag active, head to the Gabriel store and walk North. Just behind the big ad for the store’s new clothing collection, you’ll see this whopping wall of great freebies:

Look closely, gents. There are seven great pairs of high-quality free shoes and boots there for you. I’m always bemoaning the dearth of high-quality freebie male footwear in SL, but Gabriel’s got you (well, your feet, anyway) covered!

Hop behind the cut for close-ups of all the gifts :)

New freebies for the CoCo Designs group!

New freebies for the CoCo Designs group!

A while back, I blogged about some of the great free gifts offered by CoCo Designs to their free-to-join group. Well, there are two new gifts out now, and one of them’s some great unisex mesh boots (so boys, pay attention!)

Paste this link into chat and click it to bring up the group-join window. Then, with your group tag active, head to the CoCo Designs store and turn West (according to your viewer’s mini-map). All the gifts are on that West wall, with these two new ones on the far right. Here they are:

Ladies, you’ll need to wear the rigged mesh boots. Gents, make sure you wear the non-rigged versions, as those are the only ones that can be resized to fit your bigger feet :)

Gothique (includes limited-time offers)

Gothique (includes limited-time offers)

There are a couple of very limited-time offers in this look, so if you want them, you need to get your skates on!

The first of the limited-time offers is the dress. This is the Glitter Holiday Mesh Dress in black (other colours, and non-glittery ‘swirl’ versions also available) and it’s just L$60 today (Sunday Dec 9th) at Sweeter Than Candy. It’s part of the 60L Weekends offers.

The other limited-time offer also ends today, and that’s for the stunning Eternal Eyes in the ‘peak’ shade, from IKON. This is a group gift, so if you’re not already a member then paste this link into chat and click it to bring up the group-join box (it’s free-to-join), then – with your group tag active – head to the IKON store and click the box inside for the freebie.

Hop behind the cut for info on all the other items!
