Weekend bargain alert: Closing sale at L’Abel

Weekend bargain alert: Closing sale at L’Abel

UPDATE: The sale is now over and the vendors are all gone.

Ladies, hotfoot over to L’Abel, where the entire store’s stock is on sale for eye-boggling prices. L’Abel is closing down, so if you hurry (the sale was announced over a week ago in the store’s group, but I’m not sure how much longer it’ll be ongoing) you can grab separates from as little as L$10. There are only five prices in the store: 10, 25, 45, 79, and 99 L$. Mar snagged several bargains.

Remember, this is a limited-time offer. Check the date of this post if you come across it in a month’s time and the store’s no longer there (and please don’t send me bitchy IMs, as just happened to me when I logged in and someone couldn’t find limited-time freebies that I blogged about in September!).

BOO!

BOO!

Come down off the ceiling. I’m not that scary! :p

Guess what, peeps? Frick is back! Yay! Fricka Morgath has set up shop again, and a gorgeous little Halloweeny shop it is, too, sitting in a lovely autumnal skybox surround. She currently has seven witches’ hats in the store, set out for L$1 each. Between them they contain five skins and two dresses, so hustle your orange-and-black butts over there and get hunting. It’s not difficult, and you should find them pretty easily. Also, hover your cursor over the ads in the store, because many of the skins are set for sale at cheaper prices than the ads show!

Now, Mar’s not gonna bombard you with Halloween stuff, so unless something else spookily great turns up, this is your Halloween outfit post for this year. She had a lot of fun in the sim that she visited to take these pics. It’s a great place to take your friends; full of spooky surprises!

Hop behind the cut for credits and tons more fun pics!

Quick freebie fix: Halloween eyes from Amacci

Quick freebie fix: Halloween eyes from Amacci

Ladies and gents, hie thee to Amacci where you will find (in both the eyes section and on the big freebie wall in the hair section) two pairs of grey/brown eyes set out for free: one pair with a normal sclera (the white of the eye) and one with a completely black sclera.

You’ll land at the landing point (the store is pretty busy, so fly before you take the teleport; that way you can rise up and away from anyone idling at the landing point, instead of flailing!) then head east (following the crowd!) and go into the hair section. Just past the first wall on your right is the freebie wall, and you’ll find the eyes there. Here’s a direct link that should place a red arrow on your screen to the freebie wall.

True Blue

True Blue

It’s Kunglers group gift time again! This month in group notices you’ll find this lovely blue print dress with a dark blue sash belt:

If you’re not already in the Kunglers group, paste this link into open chat and click it to join (there’s a L$50 join fee, but you get a gift like this one every month). Check group notices and the dress will be in there until approximately 9th October.

Mar’s teamed it with two offers from today’s Fifty5 Thursday series. The Tamra hair by Calico Ingmann comes in a fatpack of “Calico’s Picks” (40 colours total: 20 plain and 20 highlighted, covering a wide spectrum of colours). Also from the Fifty5 Thursday series is this lovely Bubbles necklace (the set includes earrings, too) from PurpleMoon Creations. Remember: These are only available for L$55 today (September 29th 2011).

Boho chic at The Wash’s Cart Sale

Boho chic at The Wash’s Cart Sale

UPDATE: The Cart Sale is now over.

The huge L$10 cart sale at The Wash is ongoing, and ends on September 28th. There are loads of little carts all rezzed in the road, with nothing on them costing over L$10. Mar’s put together a great boho look for just L$60 in total. Guys, there’s quite a bit of male stuff on the carts, too, so head over to check it out! (And, boys, don’t forget that things like the Sn@tch jeans in this post can be worn by male avatars, too. Just because the model on the ad is a girl that doesn’t mean you can’t try the clothing out!)

The pants are from the Sn@tch cart, which is full of Ivey’s usual gorgeous goodies (and you can’t sniff at those prices, either). The skin is one of several offered on the Style by Kira cart. The top and jacket are from the Allusions cart (L$10 per item) which also has lots of other lovely stuff. And the boots and necklace are L$10 each from the Battle Fairy cart (the necklace is on one side and the brown boots are on the other side). Mar’s hair is from the huge freebie Adena fatpack at Amacci.

Hop behind the cut for more Amacci freebies, and a pic of an even more boho (but sadly not free) hair that Mar wore to complete this look!

Limited time offer: SKIFIJA Ankle Boots

Limited time offer: SKIFIJA Ankle Boots

Ladies, hotfoot (heehee!) it to buy SKIFIJA’s limited-time offer Absinth v 0.2 black ankle boots for just L$25 on SL Marketplace. These boots have a built-in AO and walk sound, both of which you can switch off. Resize scripts are deletable (which is something that I’ll be noting in future blog posts that feature script-resize items) and they look fabulous. Mar’s wearing hers with a Sn@tch coat and Axel pants, and the whole makes for an awesome outfit which I’ll be blogging in its entirety over at Mar’s Ponderings tomorrow.

New group gift from Amacci

New group gift from Amacci

Just as I thought it was safe to take a short break from the blog, Amacci go and release male and female free hat/hair combos to their group and they’re so great that I just have to blog them!

Just search for, and join the (free-to-join) Amacci group in-world (or paste this link into chat and click it) and check group notices for the freebies. Alternatively, head to Amacci* and click the Subscribe-o-matic, click it again and check History to look inside and find the gift. They’ll be available for the next couple of weeks. They’re both ponytail hairs, and the male version is less floufy than the female one. Both hat and hatband can be tinted manually (Edit the hat, check ‘Edit linked parts’ then hit the Texture tab and click into the colour block to change the tint).

*There’s more free hair for men and women just to the left of where that landmark will land you, too!

Hop behind the cut for a comparison of the male and female ponytails :)

Frick’s final hurrah

Frick’s final hurrah

*sigh* Another wonderful store in SL is closing down. Fricka Morgath’s Frick skins and clothing store will soon close (probably around April 1st, or so the notice says). Until then all of her stock is set to 50% off, and if you don’t head over there you’ll be missing the chance to bag some amazing skins at great prices.

Frick specialises in goth, fae, and fantasy-themed skins (although there are many other types at the store, alongside clothing and some lovely skyboxes on the top floor), so if that’s your thing then head on over before April 1st!

You can keep up-to-date on Fricka’s possible future plans at her blog: http://frickafrick.wordpress.com/
