Easing into autumn

Easing into autumn

Thanks to some fabby gifts on the grid right now, Mar’s slowly easing into autumnal colours.

First up is SF Design‘s gorgeous instore freebie for September: the Burgundy Leather Biker Pants. Male and female versions are available, so look in the relevant store!

Next up is the new freebie group gift skin from Al Vulo: London Piccadilly Circus (milk). If you’re not already a group member, paste this link into open chat and click on it to bring up the group-join window (the group’s free to join). Then, teleport to the Al Vulo store (it’s a good idea to be flying before you teleport, because the landing spot gets busy!) and – while wearing your group tag – click the ad on the back wall of the little wooden shack there.

Mar’s teamed these freebies with another from the Sn@tch Bargain Pit: the Way 80s Dress in cocoa. Follow the red arrow down into the pit and it should take you to the right place. I’ve put a screenshot of the exact location behind the cut.

Lastly, is Hoc Industries‘ latest release: the colour-change Platform Pumps. While not free, these are a great investment, as you get a ton of colour options (even more if you wear your HoC Industries group tag before wearing the HUD).

Hop behind the cut for more info on the items, where exactly to find that Sn@tch dress, and how Mar got her hair the perfect colour for this look!

Late summer poppies

Late summer poppies

Ladies, the new group gift from Kunglers is a lovely one. Paste this link into chat and click on it to bring up the group join window. Kunglers’ group costs L$50 to join, but you get a great free outfit every month. I know I always look forward to seeing what it is!

This month there is a pretty dress and ring set in group notices. The dress has a sculpted skirt and comes with a prim belt as well. The ring is a gorgeous red flower. Mar’s teamed the whole outfit with the L$30 Chunky Stilettos 2 from HoC Industries (colour-change, so they’ll match just about anything!), the free Ellie hair (shown here: the chocolate shade from the fatpack that you get) from Tameless Hair @ Savoir Hair, and the pretty Silver Heart Pendant, free from Virtual Impressions at the Vanity Hair mall.

Mar’s skin is the current group gift at Al Vulo. Paste this link into chat and click it to bring up the group join window (it’s free to join) then teleport over to the Al Vulo store. The nilpez – orange kauai skin is in the little wooden shack that you’ll land in front of. Simply click the image at the back while you have your group tag enabled.

Also included in the look are the Sexy Girl Red prim nails from Love Soul.

Script Count
All together, this outfit has a script count of 60 scripts, which can be reduced to 49 if you remove the scripts in the hair and belt (once you’ve re-sized them to fit you). If you don’t wear the ring then the script count goes down to just 21, so it’s a lovely low-script look. Read more here about script counts and why they’re important.

New group gifts from Kunglers and Baby Monkey

New group gifts from Kunglers and Baby Monkey

I love it when two group gifts from separate stores come together to make a great look! Kunglers have just released their May group gift, and it’s a stylish pair of grey silky pants with a sash, plus a purple bandeau top. The group is L$50 to join and you get a freebie every month. Just paste this link into chat, click it, and the group’s profile should pop up for you to join.

To add to this, another group gift has gone out in the Baby Monkey store. Join the (free-to-join) Baby Monkey Junkies group (again, paste that link into chat) and head to the store with your group tag active. On the wall you’ll find the Elise Summer Pumps in Plum, as well as several other group gifts. Together with the Kunglers gift, it makes a great summer look :)

Oh, I almost forgot the bangles! Well, those are already in your inventory library. Just look in Library > Clothing > Initial Outfits > Female Bollywood Outfit, and you’ll find them in there!

Funky Monkey!

There are new group gifts out in the Baby Monkey store! Join the Baby Monkey Junkies group (free-to-join) and enable the group tag before heading to the store. Inside you’ll find a lovely skirt (which Mar didn’t have time to take a piccy of – sorry!) and two gorgeous pairs of shoes.

These are the Ultimate Eva shoes in wine, and they go fabulously well with the free Pixeldolls dress I blogged about a few days ago!

Hop behind the cut for the other pair :)

Group gifts from Kunglers and Baby Monkey

Three new group gifts for you, this time from Kunglers and from Baby Monkey.

Search for and join the Kunglers Fashion Design group (L$50 to join) and check group notices for this cute dress with prim sleeves and a pretty, flower-like skirt:

In this pic, Mar’s hair is from one of the fabby free fatpacks (male and female styles available) at Exile‘s mainstore. Her shoes are new from R2 (not free, but I have a pair of great boots like this in real life, and people sometimes tell me, “Oh, the strap on your boots is slipping!” – well, it’s meant to look that way!)

New group gift from Amacci

New group gift from Amacci

Just as I thought it was safe to take a short break from the blog, Amacci go and release male and female free hat/hair combos to their group and they’re so great that I just have to blog them!

Just search for, and join the (free-to-join) Amacci group in-world (or paste this link into chat and click it) and check group notices for the freebies. Alternatively, head to Amacci* and click the Subscribe-o-matic, click it again and check History to look inside and find the gift. They’ll be available for the next couple of weeks. They’re both ponytail hairs, and the male version is less floufy than the female one. Both hat and hatband can be tinted manually (Edit the hat, check ‘Edit linked parts’ then hit the Texture tab and click into the colour block to change the tint).

*There’s more free hair for men and women just to the left of where that landmark will land you, too!

New group gifts at Gabriel and Rozoregalia

New group gifts at Gabriel and Rozoregalia

Hi, peeps! I have some gorgeous new jewellery group gifts for you today :)

First up, Gabriel group (joinable for free at the store – just head North once you land to get there) is this male and female Two-Strand Necklace. Wear your group tag and click to receive (and there are other group gifts on the wall to get, too!) –

There’s a 50% sale at Gabriel right now, so it’s a good time to snag some bargains. They’re out of the price remit for this blog (average is L$200), but Mar picked up a fatpack of four lovely dresses for L$500 (when each individual one was L$200 – I do love a bargain!)

An elegant start to 2011

An elegant start to 2011

Ladies, I hope your wallets still have some loose change in them after Christmas and the New Year sales, because there are two gorgeous group gifties out there and one fabulous new release (which, at L$175 I’ll admit, is beyond the L$75 remit for SL for Nowt, but what the heck: it’s shoes, damn it, and those are always worth it, right? *g*)

Plunder that purse for the L$50 join fee for the Kunglers Fashion Design group and check group notices for this elegant little Black Mini Dress with sculpted skirt and shoulders. Once you’ve done that, rummage through the (free-to-join) group notices in the Baby Monkey Junkies group for this perfectly-matching Black Sequin Mini Clutch. And finally, head over to HoC and splurge just a little on these Noir Stilettoes with excellent skin-matching and colour-change HUD (with extra colours available on the HUD if you’re a member of the HoC group). If you have change to spare from this little spree, then the perfect jewellery accompaniment is the Suffragette set (includes other items not shown here) from Ticky Tacky (currently without a mainstore but with satellite locations in several places, including here).

Mar’s skin is Tanya (a past group gift from Tuli), her hair is Seth in AlmostGoth (a past hunt gift from LeLutka) and poses are from Glitterati.

The Snow Queen

The Snow Queen

Well, Christmas is over (somebody had to say it!) but we’re still in the grip of the SL winter. One of my favourite wintry stories is The Snow Queen, and as Mar shivered her way around the grid today she managed to put together a lovely Snow Queen look.

Her dress and hair are from limited-time offers at The Dressing Room Blue. The White Christmas dress is Kunglers’ TDRB offering, at L$60, and the lovely fatpack of Mindy hair in 48 shades with fluffy white earmuffs is Exile’s TDRB offering, also at L$60. If you search Groups for Gala & Rita Design Announcements (free to join) and join the group that pops up, you’ll find Curio’s beautiful Ice Queen skin in five tones (ranging from dark to very pale) in the group’s notices, with dark and light variations on each tone and freckled versions of all tones.  Finally, Mar’s boots are the colour-change Nudey Boots (L$100) from HoC Apparel.

I’ve got more snuggly goodness for you, in the form of two lovely hair-with-hat gifts sent out to Amacci‘s subscribo members. Male and female versions included! Hop behind the cut for pics.
