Demo-ing Mesh

Demo-ing Mesh

I picked up a demo of a gorgeous mesh dress at Maitreya today. Although I’m not keen on the V2/V3 interface (I know I could use Firestorm, but still…) I really wanted to see how a rigged mesh dress worked. As I expected, there were a few down points, but the up points outweighed those.

I love the way it moves and stretches with the avatar (although in this case I think the sleeves could have been a tad shorter, so they didn’t cut into the arms when they bend. So I think I’m a convert to mesh!

Hop behind the cut for a few shots of the down points, plus two more gorgeous (free!) mesh dresses.

A cosy place to park your butt!

A cosy place to park your butt!

Mar visited the {what next} store the other day and splurged a bit on the gorgeous Blogger’s Armchair. There are several colour versions available, and each one comes with multiple poses and accessories. There are male and female sits, a male and female ‘drink’ pose, a reading pose, and a laptop pose. The pack also comes with a book dispenser (to wear while you read) in the form of an open book, a coffee cup dispenser (to wear while you drink) in the form of a coffee cup (these will give out their contents to anyone who clicks, so your friends can grab a drink and a good read too!) and there’s also a wearable laptop.

If you join the Subscribo at {what next} you can also get a nice gift featuring some decor for your home. I won’t spoil what it is in detail, but it includes a pose item and two decor items.

The female sit pose is shown in the main image. Hop behind the cut for images of the other poses :)

Summer blue

Summer blue

Today I decided to find out where Anuenue had moved to, as their Dirt Skirt has long been a favourite of mine. I found the store sharing space with another one, and on wandering around I found these gorgeous little Tiered Skirts. Mar bought the blue version, but she might go back for a couple more! They’re a great mixture of sculpted and flexi prims, and they move nicely when you walk.

From that, she’s pulled together a pretty, summery look.

The top is from the Sn@tch Peep Show fatpack, and comes with a tintable bow which you can match to any of the colours in the pack. Shoes are (of course!) Mar’s beloved Noir Stilettos from HoC. Hair is a new purchase: Karen, from Truth (caramel shade, from the browns pack), and Mar’s accessorised it with one of the lovely little Juanita Hair Flowers from Ticky Tacky (just L$10 for the whole pack on SL Marketplace). Her earrings are also a bargain find from Ticky Tacky on SL Marketplace: the L$1 (yes, really!) Every Girl Must Have Pearls earrings. Nails are the classic Clear French Square Beige prim nails from Love Soul. Finally, her skin is Tuli’s Gina 02 (a past Dressing Room item),  and her poses are from C’est la Vie.

All about the Lady

All about the Lady

Part of this outfit is named Germanotta, which some may not know is Lady Gaga’s real surname, hence the title of this post. Mar wanted to gussie up in something a little bit more elegant than the summery silk skirt and sequinned cami that she’s been sporting lately, and a rummage through inventory brought up this classy high-waisted pantsuit by R.icielli.

A past TDR offering, it needs very little in the way of anything else. Great heels (Mar’s beloved Noir Stilettos from HoC Apparel), fabulous hair (Blake in streaked mahogany, from Truth), and my current favourite jewellery (the Medaille series by Gabriel), as well as an old favourite prim manicure (Sexy Girl A in black, by Love Soul) and this outfit is complete. I did toy with the idea of a bag, but nothing short of a teeny clutch would have worked, and in all honesty I think it’s complete without another thing.

OMG shiny!

OMG shiny!

I was checking out the new group gift at Gabriel and couldn’t resist the 50% sale; bought the fatpack of Fur Highneck Sweater Dresses (L$200 each or the fatpack of FOUR for L$500? No contest!).

And then I cammed to the back of the store and saw some jewellery sets that drew me like a magpie. OMG they are beautiful.
