I seem to be all about free and cheap hair lately!<\/p>\n

Firstly, with regard to the Exile Hair group gifts that I blogged yesterday: please read the edit on my previous post<\/strong> [ link<\/a> ], as it seems that people are picking up the wrong item from the subscribe-o-matic and assuming the gift has been removed. It hasn’t been removed – it was re-packed and sent out again later because something was wrong with the original notice!<\/p>\n

OK, onto today’s deal!<\/p>\n

I sent Roxie out for a quick jaunt (mainly to make sure she grabbed that huge Exile Hair giveaway) and ended up at Pocket Mirrors<\/a>, where she found some fab dollarbie and giftie hair.<\/p>\n

Pocket Mirrors has an unusual style, and you should visit the store especially if you’re a lover of vintage hairstyles.<\/p>\n

The dollarbie is a brilliantly-mad curled and knotted up-do called Myrtle<\/em>, which comes in three colours: brick, light blonde, and majestic:<\/p>\n

Hop behind the cut for the others. Guys, there’s male hair group gifts available, too!<\/p>\n

Myrtle<\/em> is the dollarbie, available to all. The remaining four styles are group gifts rezzed on the side walls of the store’s lobby area. Paste this link<\/a> into chat and click it to bring up the group-join window (it’s free-to-join) and, with your group tag active, head to the Pocket Mirrors store<\/a> and click the walls to receive the following:<\/p>\n

The cute, 50s bobbed fringe Louise<\/em> style really made me think of Sandy Olsson (Olivia Newton John’s pure and innocent character in Grease<\/em>, before John Travolta’s Danny Zuko corrupted her!). It’s modifiable, so you can tint the headband to match the rest of your outfit. The gift hairstyle comes in one colour: mocha –<\/p>\n

The Scarlet<\/em> style is a perfect vintage semi up-do. It, too, is modifiable and – being such a pale colour (light blonde is the shade of the group gift) – you could easily tint it a different shade:<\/p>\n

Boys! Your turn! Firstly, I apologise for Roxie’s male version looking a bit rough around the edges. I do try to put together a good male look, to show items for the guys off to their best advantage, but poor Roxie has limited resources in that area!<\/p>\n

First up for the men is the swept-back Eric<\/em> style, available in dark brown:<\/p>\n

And secondly there’s the great semi-‘hawk Samuel<\/em> style in strawberry (presumably that means strawberry blond!). This is only the ‘hawk, so you might want to find a light-coloured hairbase to wear underneath it, if you don’t have one:<\/p>\n
