Check in your inventory’s Library folder, peeps. There are some new default avatars available to you. Open the Library > Clothing > Initial Outfits folder and scroll down to find six vampires and six mesh werewolves. The vampires are from Pulse (and feature some awesome skins and hair) and the mesh weres are courtesy of Damien Fate.<\/p>\n

Since I don’t use a mesh-capable viewer I can’t preview the weres for you, but I can show you the vampires! There are three female and three male, and don’t forget: you don’t have to wear everything in one go! For the leader pic in this post Mar is wearing skin and hair from one of the new female avatars, shirt and pants from one of the new male avatars, plus a fantastic free gothic unisex coat from Davinel and new free unisex black leather boots from Gabriel!<\/p>\n

OK, avatars first. You’ll want to know how to get these into your main inventory. My viewer might look a bit different to yours (I run the old Phoenix viewer) but the principle is still the same.<\/p>\n

First, create some new folders to hold the avatars. I like to keep all of my full avatars in a folder in the main Body Parts folder, so that’s where I created mine:<\/p>\n

Open up a second inventory window (File > New Window in older viewers, or look in the little cog at the bottom of newer viewers) and head into your inventory’s Library folder:<\/p>\n

Open up each folder and select everything inside it, then right-click-copy and go back to your new folders to right-click-paste into the relevant folder:<\/p>\n

Right! Now we’ve done that, on with the avatars! We’ll begin with the girls:<\/p>\n

And here are the boys!<\/p>\n

Remember: the non-bloody skins will work for any<\/em> avatar. You can mix and match as you like, and that’s exactly what Mar’s done below. She’s taken the skin and hair from the new default female Xyla avatar and is wearing the shirt and pants (with prim collar and cuffs resized to fit) from the male Petrik avatar. Together with the new free boots from Gabriel (more on those in a second) it makes for a fabulous goth look:<\/p>\n

Here are those boots! You’ll need to join the Gabriel group (paste this link<\/a> into chat, open up chat history and click it to bring up the group join window). Then, with your group tag active, head to the Gabriel store<\/a> and go North to find the group gift section (there’s tons more gifts for male and female avatars in that area, so look around!). There are both male and female versions of the boots in the box, and they’re completely free!<\/p>\n
