Fashionable Mystique!

Fashionable Mystique!

Hi peeps!

Just a small handful of weekend offers today: one from Saturday Sale, and two from Happy Weekend!

These lovely comfy Fall Jeans with Boots are from Fashionably Dead in the Saturday Sale, and are L$75 per denim tone (with fits for Maitreya, Legacy, eBody Reborn, Kupra, Freya, and Slink Hourglass). I’ve teamed it with an old weekend sale jacket from Blueberry, and a positively ancient system top from Sn@tch (worn via Bakes on Mesh, of course!)

Below is a side view of the jeans and boots, plus an image of the boot colour options that you get with each single denim tone of the jeans. There are many more boot colours in the fatpack.

The hair is a fabby fatpack for Happy Weekend (L$60) from Wasabi, called Mystique, and contains three huge colour HUDs: Colours, Roots, and Variety. The makeup is from a mixed BoM and applier (BoM for the eyeshadows, appliers for the included lipstick) set for EvoX heads, from Vorobyev for Happy Weekend (L$60). I’ve teamed it with one of the lipsticks from the (now finished) Holiday Special giveaway, from Holloway Beauty (which looks like it still might be available, as the vendors are still out!)

New Year Sparkles – A pretty party look from Just Because, Kibitz, Sequoia, and Poppet!

New Year Sparkles – A pretty party look from Just Because, Kibitz, Sequoia, and Poppet!

Hi peeps!

Not only is it weekend sale time, but it’s also a big party weekend. If it’s not already 2023 for you, you can get your virtual glam on before the fireworks by running around in the next few hours and grabbing these lovely cheapies. And hey, even if it is already 2023 for you, you can never have enough glammy stuff; that’s what I say!

The dress is from Just Because, and comes in six pretty shades. It has animated sparkles (choose from several colours!) over the top of the dress, or you can turn off the sparklies if you don’t want them. This is a Saturday Sale item and costs L$75. It contains fits for Maitreya, Legacy & Legacy Perky, Kupra, and eBody Reborn.

Mar’s jewellery is all from Kibitz: the Marla’s Necklace (four metal colours, sold separately for L$75 each, with fits for Maitreya, Legacy, and eBody Reborn) for Saturday Sale, and the Tara’s Earrings (two metal colours, sold separately) which are unrigged and still available from Fifty Linden Friday.

The lipstick is from a BoM set for EvoX heads, by Poppet for So Kawaii Sunday (L$65) and the eyeshadow is a lovely EvoX applier set from Sequoia at The Sales Room (L$75). I’ve still got my Alaskametro sparkly BoM eyeshadow underneath it, to add a little bit of glimmer. Look in the previous posts for that one!

Lastly, the eyes are a stunning LeLutka applier & BoM set from Sequoia for Crafty Weekend Sales (L$75). Sequoia also have quite a few group gifts in their store, and the group join is only L$10. Well worth a peep if you want some new peepers!

Happy New Year, from Mar! x

Evening Glam – limited time offers!

Evening Glam – limited time offers!

Hi peeps!

If you need a glamorous look for a New Year party, now’s the time to grab these items! This look is entirely free, with the exception of the mesh body:

I blogged about the free LeLUTKA EvoX mesh head, and the IVES Beauty skin in my previous post. They’re part of the current 54-store Holiday Special giveaway that’s taking place until 30th December 2022.

The hair, by Doux, is also part of the giveaway, as is the matching hairbase from Not Found and the lipstick from Holloway Beauty.

The lovely eyeshadow is from Alaskametro. I have the fatpack, which costs L$125, but Alaska always has a free wearable tester that has no demo markings or anything on it. The wearable tester for this particular makeup just happens to be this pretty pink tone!

The dress is the ‘Pull Me Closer’ gown, from Lurve at The Free Dove. It comes in fits for Maitreya, Slink Physique & Hourglass, Belleza Freya & Isis & Venus, TMP, and standard sizing. And the jewellery is one of the group gifts from Orsini Jewelry. The group is free to join, and you can pick up some lovely gifts here at the in-world store.

Ravishing Raven! The big Holiday Special giveaway, featuring LeLutka and 53 other stores!

Ravishing Raven! The big Holiday Special giveaway, featuring LeLutka and 53 other stores!

Hi peeps!

Oh my giddy aunt, have I been BUSY! I’ve spent almost the entire day shuttling around the Second Life grid, picking up gift after gift from the stupendously generous Holiday Special Giveaway. There are 54 stores taking part, including LeLutka with two free gift mesh heads – one male and one female – from their gorgeous EvoX range, so if you’ve not been able to afford a mesh head before, or you want to get some alts kitted out with some gorgeousity (totally a word, and not because I just made it up) then you need to take a bit of time to grab this stuff!

There’s a ton of stuff included, and it’s all free, but here is one skin that knocked me for six when I put it on, so I used it for the banner image for this post!

Isn’t that absolutely Be-YOU-tiful?! I was seal-clapping like a loony when it rezzed; it’s just so lovely!

In the above pic, I’m wearing the Raven gift head from LeLutka, and I deliberately kept the default shape (but blended it with my preferred body shape by copying the body shape numbers over to the head shape numbers). I’m also wearing the lightest tone of the head’s eyes. And the skin? That’s the ‘Rae’ Skin from IVES Beauty, again, completely free! This is the ‘Icy’ skintone, and you can find the matching body skin from the ‘Venus’ range at Velour. If you use Velour’s ‘Ipanema’ body skin range, this skin also contains matches to that one, too! It comes in the following tones: Blush, Chantilly, Cloudy, Glam, Ibiza, Icy, Porcelain, Praline, Rose Kiss, Sienna, Snow, Sunkiss, and Valley, and it has both brows and no-brows versions included, together with a shape, a brow-shaper, and the matching ear tattoo layers that EvoX heads need.

There’s a ton of skins in the big giveaway, covering all the tones you could possibly need, including a fantasy tone set from Nuve.

Skin creators in the giveaway include: ALT3, Amara Beauty, Avarosa, Bold & Beauty, Clef de Peau, Deetalez, Dernier, Glam Affair, Gloom, Heaux, IVES Beauty, Koonz, LeLapeau, Lueur, Moccino, Mudskin, NonNative, Not Found, Nuve, Pumec, Tres Beau, The Skinnery, plus Velour with body skins, for Legacy F, and eBody Reborn only.

Guys, you’re not left out either! To go with your free ‘Quinn’ EvoX head from LeLutka, there are free skin offerings from: Avarosa, Avi-Glam, Bold & Beauty, Clef de Peau, Not Found, NXS/CheerNo, and Stray Dog. Giveaways like these tend always to favour the ladies of SL, but you chaps also have hair from Vango, ADE, and Doux, plus hairbases from Modulus and Volkstone.

In addition to all that (as if that wasn’t enough!) there’s a load of makeup, jewellery, hair, shapes, piercings, eyes, tattoos, and other stuff. Because it’s almost Christmas (just a couple of hours to go for me here in the UK!) I’ve added some lippy from the event (by ALT3) and some sparkly eyeshadows from Alaskametro (which I already had in my inventory).

All glammed up and ready for a party!

A little note before you begin zipping around the grid: you’ll need at least one or two group slots free, as almost all of these gifts require you to join the relevant store’s group in order to get the gift. I’ve seen quite a few people suggesting this, but while you’re at each store (and still have their group tag active) hunt around to see if they have a group gift wall. I picked up tons of extra goodies that way! Also, some of these stores are worth keeping the group, if you have enough free slots. Those ones usually have fees to join them (sometimes up to L$300) but right now they’re all free to join, so it’s time to get yourself and your alts into them if you can!

As I whizzed around the grid, I found two stores – Heaux and Nuve – that have a daily ‘click here to increase your store credit’ thingy that’s a group only thing, so those are two of the groups that are definitely worth keeping on!

You can find all the info about the participants in this event, here on Seraphim. Start with one of the linked regions at the top, to pick up your free LeLutka head(s) (and the free LeLapeau skins also there) and while you’re there, click the big sign about the event. That will give you the list of participating stores that you can paste into chat and start clicking those SLurls. The event ends on 30th December 2022, so you have a week to get everything!

Happy gift-grabbing, and a Merry Christmas from Mar!

Free Dove Feature: Rebel Hope dress – Get your rock chick on!

Free Dove Feature: Rebel Hope dress – Get your rock chick on!

  • Dress fits both mesh and system bodies. Shoes for mesh bodies only.
  • Dress, necklace, eyeshadow all free. Group join fee for hair. 7 seas fishing rod needed for boots & lipstick.

Hi peeps!

Just a quickie Free Dove Feature today, and it’s a rock chick look that I abso-flippin’-lutely LOVE!

The dress is a fantastic freebie from Rebel Hope at The Free Dove. It comes with a 10-colour HUD for the dress and 4 metal options. Including fits for Maitreya, Slink Physique and Hourglass, Belleza Freya, Isis, and Venus, as well as Standard Sizing, this is a hot one for mesh and system bodies alike. (I’ll leave you to discover the stunning back view of it!)

Mar’s eyeshadow is the freebie ‘Wytch’ tester by Alaskametro. You can find it for Catwa and Lelutka heads, as well as system tattoo layers here on Marketplace. Mar’s lipstick is from the current ‘Fish for This’ outfit at Sn@tch. This comes with system tattoos and an omega applier. You’ll need a 7 Seas fishing rod (which you can buy outside the Sn@tch store) to get the entire Fish for This outfit. There’s a new outfit every two weeks, released on a Wednesday.

Speaking of that Fish for This outfit, these are the amazing boots that are also part of it! These come in fits for Maitreya, Slink, Belleza, and Tonic.

Have you bought a mesh body but not yet made the plunge with a mesh head? You might be struggling to match or hide your skin tones at the neck, but I’ve got the perfect solution for you! This lovely little choker from Ezmerelda is absolutely free at The Free Dove, and it can be resized to fit any mesh body. No more visible neck seams!

The pricey item in this look is the hair by Sintiklia. It’s one of the many group gifts on the wall in the store, and it comes with four ways to wear it (via a styling HUD) and a fabby 12-colour HUD. The Sintiklia group costs L$250 to join, but it’s so worth it. Group gifts galore, plus lucky letter boards as well!

Here’s a pic of the current group gifts. They all contain full fatpacks:

And here are the current lucky letter boards:

Free Dove Feature: Lurve dress

Free Dove Feature: Lurve dress

  • Mesh feet required for the shoes. The dress is for both mesh and system avatars
  • Mostly free! (50L for necklace, 99L for shoes)

Hi peeps!

The second Free Dove Feature for today is this lovely, leg-revealing dress from Lurve. It comes with fitmesh fits for: Maitreya, Slink (Physique & Hourglass), Belleza, TMP, and Standard Sizing for classic avatars. The ‘partial pants’ have appliers for Maitreya, Slink, and Omega, an installer for TMP, and system clothing pants. The dress also comes with a pretty 4-strand pink pearl necklace, but Mar opted for something a bit different. More on that in a minute!

Mar has teamed it with the stunning ‘Harmony’ hair in platinum from the current Sn@tch ‘Fish for This’ outfit (this round closes on Wednesday 27th June, so if you want it, get busy fishing! Info on how to fish can be found in this post) and the L$99 ‘Giada’ heels from KC Couture (Marketplace link) for Maitreya, Belleza, Slink, and TMP. As with so many KC Couture shoes, you get a huge colour-change HUD for all the different sections of the shoes.

The necklace Mar is wearing is the oh-so-lovely L$50 ‘Heart Charm Necklace’ from Bowtique (Marketplace link). You get a HUD containing 20 colour options each for the ribbon and the heart charm, plus 5 metals. As an added bonus, the whole thing can be edited, so you can select the white options and then tint the ribbon and heart to match your outfit!

Mar is wearing the free ‘Bali’ tester eyeshadow from Alaskametro (Marketplace link for Catwa and Lelutka appliers, plus system tattoo layer) which she’s blended on her Catwa head to show more of the pink and less of the gold, plus the free ‘Nurain’ Catwa lipstick applier from Essences (Marketplace link).

(Check out Alaskametro’s Marketplace store for more fabulous freebie testers! Just put tester in the search once you have her store page open.)

Free Dove Feature: Masoom dress

Free Dove Feature: Masoom dress

  • Mesh body parts required for the clothing and footwear
  • Absolutely free!

Hi peeps!

It’s the weekend, so I can log in and do some more Free Dove Features for you :) First up today is this lovely silky dress from Masoom. It’s available, absolutely free, at Free Dove in this single colour, and it contains fits for: Maitreya, Slink Hourglass, Belleza Isis, and TMP.

Mar has teamed it with some fab shoes from KC Couture (one of my favourite places for cheapie footwear) – the L$99 Calais Heels (Marketplace link). These have a 40-colour customisation HUD for each of the six sections of the shoes, so you have endless possibilities for matching any outfit that you have on!

Mar’s hair is ‘Jordy’ from Sn@tch (not free) and her eyeshadow is from a free tester by !Musa! (which I blogged about here). Her lippy is the big spendy item in this post. I saw these (Catwa-only) Queen Lipsticks from Envious’s ‘Hello Alice’ range at the Holiday Hop and Shop last year, and I fell in love with them. They’re out of the remit of this blog, at L$220, but if you love them as much as I do (the gradients are gorgeous, and they blend really nicely on the Catwa heads) then the Marketplace link is here.

Freebie quickie: Eyeshadows, eyes, and jewellery gifts at Musa!

Freebie quickie: Eyeshadows, eyes, and jewellery gifts at Musa!

  • Works for both mesh bodies and classic avatars
  • No-spend look (absolutely free!)

Hi peeps!

Another post from me today, to give a quick heads-up of some great little makeup, eye, and jewellery freebies at Musa! This link will take you upstairs at the store and, if you look on the wall by the stairs, you’ll see some lovely eyeshadows. Under the main images the word ‘tester’ is in mesh letters. Click that, and you get a wearable freebie single-colour sample of that eyeshadow!

The ones with ‘demo’ underneath them have ‘demo’ written somewhere on the face, but the ‘tester’ ones are fully wearable. As a bonus, they include not only Omega appliers (which will work on any mesh head, with the correct Omega relay) but also tattoo layer makeup for classic avatars!

Then, if you turn to the left, you’ll find more testers, this time for two pairs of eyes. As before, click the word ‘tester’ and – as before – you’ll get applier and system eye versions in a single colour :)

Finally, cam downstairs to find the Subscribe-o-matic kiosk. If you join up (it’s free and doesn’t take up a group slot) you’ll get a gorgeous eyeshadow palette in 8 colours (Omega appliers and tattoo layers) plus some earrings with a massive 16-colour customisable HUD plus 5 metal options!

Fish up a bag of goodies at Sn@tch!

Fish up a bag of goodies at Sn@tch!

  • Mesh body parts required for some items, but not all
  • Minimal spend look (initial purchase of fishing rod required for most items)

Hi peeps!

Let’s get this out of the way first: you have no idea how much of a struggle it was not to turn that headline into a joke about having a fishy Sn@tch. No idea at all ;)

ANYway!

In yesterday’s post about the lucky boards at Sn@tch I mentioned that the ‘Fish for This’ outfit was probably going to be changed out at the weekend, which was why I wasn’t going to blog about it. But it turns out there’s another week to go! So here’s a blog post about some of the items you can win if you have a 7 Seas Fishing Rod and park your butt at Sn@tch to cast for the New Year Grab Bag of goodies.

There are 20 items to fish for, and they include clothing, hair, footwear, and decor items, including some very generous colour and texture-change HUDs. But, before we get into what you can catch, you’re possibly wondering how the heck you fish for this stuff! Hop behind the cut for info and then for pics of some of the items :)

De-Noob for Nowt! Goth goodies at Free Dove and Shop FreeStyle

De-Noob for Nowt! Goth goodies at Free Dove and Shop FreeStyle

Hi, peeps!

Today I’m trialling something new on the blog. I’ve been debating how to handle the mesh body vs classic avatar conundrum, and I’ve come up with what I hope will be a good solution. Tags are all well and good, but I don’t have a visible tag cloud on the blog, so I thought it would be a good idea to put the requirements for each post in coloured text or images at the top of the post. I’ll put both in this post, so you can see how it looks. Let me know which you prefer!

The text-only version –

– No mesh body or body parts required. This one works for classic avatars!
– No spend look. Completely free!

The image version (I may change these to be smaller and less obtrusive) –

Now that’s out of the way…

Today we’re going Goth, because I like to choose a theme sometimes and see what I can do with it. We’re visiting three places:

The Free Dove
Shop FreeStyle
Sn@tch mainstore

First up: The Free Dove. Mar picked up this cute little velvet dress and tights set by Stellar in the women’s clothing section there. And in the women’s footwear section, she found these colour-change (soles and straps) boots by Sn@tch. The bracelets (also by Sn@tch) are at Shop FreeStyle.

The awesome (and a bit scary; no picking your nose or scratching your bum with these on!) nails are by Gorgeous Dolls, and are in the accessories section of The Free Dove. The ring can be found in the ‘freebie TV’ in front of the freebie wall at the Sn@tch mainstore. (I tinted the gemstone a bit more purple, to match the outfit.)

As well as being scarily sharp and long, the nails also come with an amazing HUD. You can colour each nail individually by clicking it on the HUD, and there are tons of options to choose from. Here’s a screenshot of the HUD itself:

The necklace is a freebie from Edenia on Marketplace. It’s tintable (it’s black when you buy it, but edit it and you can change it to any colour) and really easy to resize using the manual sizing tools. The lipstick is from a huge pack of freebie lippies by 7 Deadly s{K}ins at The Free Dove.

You’ll find the curly lashes (by BKB) on the second floor at Shop FreeStyle. Look for the orange upward-pointing arrow just inside the door to teleport to the second floor! The hair by Adoness is also there (although I didn’t make a note of which floor that was on – oops!)

Finally, the skin is by Avi-Glam and can be found in the skins section at The Free Dove. Please note that the purple eyeshadow is not included with this skin! I’d originally planned to blog that, too, since I picked it up in a hunt gift at The Free Dove, but when I went back there – just hours later! – the hunt items had been removed. It turned out that was a leftover from the December hunt!

Total spend: Nothing! This look is completely free :)
