We’re up all night to get Slinky!

We’re up all night to get Slinky!

Hi, peeps!

It’s been a while since I’ve messed with a song title for a blog post, so have some Daft Punk earworminess for a Wednesday afternoon ;)

Today’s second post is all about cheapie Slink applier nails. This morning, I set my Marketplace search to slink AND nail NOT demo, checked the 0L- 10L price range, and bought some fabby nails for just a few L$.

  • Mesh body parts required (although check out the Weaponized Sugar nail appliers I’m showing, as they work with their free prim nails!)
  • Minimal spend look

This one’s going to be quite long because I want to show the nails on Mar’s Slink hands, but also the full HUDs so you can see the colours you’ll get, so hop behind the cut!

Group Gifties Galore from Legendaire!

Group Gifties Galore from Legendaire!

Hi, peeps!

Yesterday I promised to blog more about the group gifts from Legendaire, but after heading back to the store today I realised it would take several posts to show the gazillions (ok, lots – lol!) of things you can grab from there, all for the measly cost of the L$49 group join fee. So instead of putting on lots of clothes, I’ve taken screenshots of all the gift walls so you can see how generous this group is!

  • No mesh body or body parts required. Many of these work for classic avatars! (Also with several mesh bodies and heeled feet.)
  • Minimal spend look. Just L$49 for the group join fee!

First up, as you enter the store you’ll find this wall full of the current gifts. Most of these are full outfits that come with footwear as well as fitting several mesh bodies and standard sizing:

The group join kiosk is just there to the right. And once you’ve picked up all of those, take that teleporter to the Freebies and Discounts section of the store, where you’ll find two more walls of free stuff!

Outfits, accessories, heels… you name it, it’s there! You’ll also find some L$10 ‘mystery prize’ boxes dotted around the store, and in the lobby area where you first enter, on the far wall to your left, you’ll find another lot of cheapie deals for the various weekly events like 50L Friday.

Here’s your taxi to Legendaire, and here’s a link to join the group (join cost of L$49). Have fun filling up your inventory!

A quick gifty from Legendaire

A quick gifty from Legendaire

Hi, peeps! No, I haven’t forgotten you. I’ve just been really busy lately! However, as you’ll see from the pic in this post, Mar finally has a mesh head – yay! Lots of pulling of gacha machine handles at the Arcade got her a gorgeous head from Genesis Lab, plus several different skin appliers and makeups.

Anyway, this quicky post isn’t about the head. It’s about this sexy group gift from Legendaire. The group costs L$49 to join and there’s a metric crapton (which is totally a real weight!) of gifts at the store, in two different locations. I’ll be blogging a few more of them hopefully over the next week or so, but I wanted to make a quick post-and-run just so you knew I’d not disappeared completely off the grid again!

  • No mesh body or body parts required. This one works for classic avatars! (Also with several mesh bodies; see the pic below)
  • Minimal spend look. Just L$49 for the group join fee!

This particular gift is a shirt and miniskirt outfit called Amaya 2. As shown on the image, the shirt and skirt come in fits for Standard Sizing (which classic avatars can wear), Slink, and Maitreya. There’s a HUD for both, which gives four single-colour options for the shirt and four patterns for the skirt.

I didn’t get a pic of the boots, which are really nice knee-high platform ones of black leather with gold buckles, but those have fits for classic avatars, Slink Physique and Hourglass, Belleza Isis and Freya, and Maitreya.

Back soon with more posts and pics, I promise :)

Summer breeze, makes me feel fine!

Summer breeze, makes me feel fine!

Sorry about the radio silence, peeps. Mar’s computer fall down go boom! I’m back up and running now, though, and – since it’s suddenly turned lovely and warm here in the UK – I’m bringing you a fabby little summer L$55 dress/bag/earrings/shoes combo bargain, plus some L$39 sunnies!

  • Mesh body parts required
  • Under L$100 for the whole look

The outfit is from one of my favourite new stores: Legendaire. Teleport in and look on the left wall, under the Fifty5 Thursday image, for this mesh Camille Maxi Dress. It comes with two texture-change HUDs: one with ten gorgeous summery prints, and one with five solid colours. Both top and skirt can be changed separately, which allows for tons of different looks!

You also get the bag, earrings, and shoes. These aren’t recolourable, but you get the bag with both an arm version (shown here) and a hand version. Both of these contain built-in animations.

You will need a mesh body to wear this dress, since it contains no alpha layers. The mesh body options it comes in are:

  • Slink Physique and Hourglass
  • Maitreya
  • Belleza Isis, Freya, and Venus

The shoes come in:

  • Slink High
  • Maitreya
  • Belleza

Mar’s sunnies are from the store opposite Legendaire: PopArt. (Just turn around when you’re at Legendaire, and PopArt is right in front of you.) This is a fantastic little place containing oodles of brilliant mesh items, and – as an added bonus – they currently have a 50% off sale running, so scoot over there and pick up some bargains! These Celine Sunglasses come in five colours: black, blue, pink, red, and white. Check out the (free-to-join) group, too. Lots of group gifts on the middle wall, including a cute-as-a-button holdable spring pupper!

Mar shot the above two pics at the gorgeous Bali Skybox location from ReBourne.

Edit: I had to get a pic with that adorable spring puppy from PopArt. Isn’t he a sweetie? (And yes, I only noticed I’d forgotten to remove Mar’s bra layer after I’d take these pics and logged out – lol!)

Slinky cheapies at Legendaire

Slinky cheapies at Legendaire

Partial mesh body or body parts required (for the shoes). Otherwise, this one works for classic avatars!
Minimal spend look. Just L$10!

Hi, peeps!

Yesterday I visited Legendaire (mainly because of their gorgeous freebie gown at The Free Dove, which I loved so much I decided to check out the rest of their store) and I found a goldmine of cheapies and group gifts! I’m just showing you one cheapie today, which is perfect for a last-minute date night look for Valentine’s Day.

Rezzed out on the floor throughout the Legendaire store are several pink and black heart boxes, each costing L$10. They contain shoes, outfits, and even a couple of cute holdable pets. If you walk right through the store to the discount room, at the very back wall you’ll find the box that contains this Era Dress and Heels. This link should take you directly there (or at least give you a red arrow to follow and find the box.)

It comes with a HUD to change the dress into four different styles, as shown below:

I’ll be showing you some more of the goodies from Legendaire soon, but I have one last slinky gift to show in this post, and that’s a group gift from Amacci. It’s a sleek bun and hairbase set. You’ll need to join the Amacci group (it’s free to join; paste this link into chat and click it) and have your tag active as you click the group gift vendor. (Pick up the gorgeous heels available, too!)

This is a whopping fatpack available in all colours, and don’t forget that you can use those hairbases for other looks! (You can never have enough hairbases, I always say.)

A celestial lovely from Al Vulo!

A celestial lovely from Al Vulo!

Hi, peeps!

Today’s bargainous gifty is a lovely skin from Al Vulo!

You’ll need to join the Al Vulo! group (it’s free-to-join) and have your group tag active. Once you’re at the store, turn away from it and walk through the garden to the little wooden hut. You’ll find the gift inside there on the back wall.

I’m not sure how old this skin is, because it doesn’t have Omega appliers, and the appliers that it does have are old ones: Wowmeh, Lolas Tango, and Phat Azz. However, it also contains a system skin, plus appliers for Slink hands and feet.

I fell in love with this cute little butterfly fascinator when I was at the Swallow store. It’s a group gift (L$30 to join, and several group gifts on the wall) and it comes in eight colours.

Mar’s hair is a great dollarbie from FABIA on Marketplace. You get a 30-colour ‘naturals’ HUD with this, so you have all the basic blondes, browns, reds, and monochromes.

As for the dress, oh my goodness it’s a pretty one. It’s from AnaLee Balut, and you’ll find it as a group gift (with two colour options) in the ALB store. Be warned, though: the group does cost a lot – L$500 – to join. However, I love AnaLee’s textures and designs, and if you hover your cursor over most of the outfit sets in the store, you’ll find absolutely tons of group gifts and wearable demos. So, if you can scrape up the cash, I recommend it!

Lastly, the shoes. I was so happy to find these heels. They’re a L$65 bargain (ignore the mistake I made in the price on the image – oops!) from Ben’s Boutique on Marketplace, and they’re for Slink High feet only. You get a 16-colour HUD, plus options for the chains, so you can match them with lots of outfits.

Magenta divine: gorgeous glam at The Free Dove

Magenta divine: gorgeous glam at The Free Dove

Hi, peeps!

Have you been to The Free Dove lately? If not, then it’s time you hopped in that limo-link, because there’s some fabby new things out. The Free Dove has always been one of the places I’ve sent newbies to, and while it’s sadly lacking in quantity of content for male avatars (the poor guys always seem to get short shrift when it comes to good freebies anywhere) it still has a few gems for the menfolk. But I’m here to show you one of the female items, and it’s this simply gorge frock by Purplemoon!

It comes in standard sizing, so you don’t need a mesh body to wear it (although Mar’s wearing it with her Slink Physique body, after a bit of clicking through the alpha-hiding HUD for the body). The included gloves come with a standard glove clothing layer and an Omega applier for the mesh body peeps.

The jewellery is one of two sets available at The Free Dove, by Lazuri. I love this to bits! It’s so elegant and classy, and it’s massively customisable. Just click each item to choose from lots of different gem, metal, and pearl colours. The pack includes earrings, a necklace, and two bracelets.

Mar’s hair is also from The Free Dove. I did say there was a lot of fabby stuff there now, didn’t I?! This pretty up-do is by Rezology (and they also have another style available, which I’ll show in another post). You get a HUD for several different colours (although do be warned that there’s a bit of subtle glow to the hair, which shows more with the lighter blondes, but it still looks gorgeous!)

Mar is wearing the pretty Star Bliss nail appliers (for Slink/Omega and Maitreya; Omega will work on Belleza mesh bodies) from LIVIA. They’re available for L$10 on Marketplace, and come with several pink and lilac mixed options.

The finishing touch is the makeup. Mar picked up these eyeshadows in a previous Ricielli treasure hunt for just L$15, but they’re now available on Marketplace for L$50 for seven shades. I love these, as they’re so striking and they really make your eyes look sparkly! So, while L$50 might be a bit of a high price for this blog to recommend for some eyeshadows, I think it’s worth it :)

Purplemoon is gonna shiver yer timbers!

Purplemoon is gonna shiver yer timbers!

Arr!

(Two posts in a row. That looks promising, doesn’t it?)

Hi, peeps! Today’s gifty comes from Purplemoon Creations. The group costs L$50 to join, and you get a fabulous group gift in the store each month. (Copy this link and paste it into chat for the group info.)

This is a gorgeous outfit! I’ve never been disappointed with Purplemoon’s group gift’s, and this is no exception. You’ll get this white dress, hat, gloves, and cutlass in the gift. The dress comes in: Belleza Venus, Isis, and Freya, Slink Physique and Hourglass, plus standard sizing (XXS-L, with an alpha layer) for standard (non-mesh) avatars. The gloves come in fitted mesh and standard sizing (XXS-L). You also get a little HUD to change the lace edging from sheer to opaque.

No footwear is included, so Mar went on a Marketplace hunt for some. The perfectly-named Cutlass Heels are by Blackburns, and they’re just L$29. You’ll get one each of black and white pairs in the folder (my white pair rezzed as pink, but those ones are recolourable!) and you’ll get a colour HUD so you can make them match any outfit. The Marketplace ad states they’re “made to be worn with av feet for high heels” and they fitted Mar’s Slink High feet perfectly.

Since Mar’s all-white for this ghostly outfit, she needed some white hair! Sn@tch to the rescue with this group gifty hair in a faboo 12-colour ‘naturals’ HUD. The Sn@tch group costs L$100 to join, but it’s well worth it, especially if you like to fish for the bi-weekly outfits (a lot of people trade pieces of the outfits in the group). There’s also an Advent calendar every year at Sn@tch, for group members, so join up now to get ready for that!

Handsome enough (aka: Mr Darcy, you suck!)

Handsome enough (aka: Mr Darcy, you suck!)

Hi, peeps!

I’ve been AWOL, I know. I’m really sorry about that, but RL is seriously kicking my butt of late. I wandered past the blog last night and realised I hadn’t posted since May. Eek! So here’s another wee post to tide you over. I hope I can get more time to get back to blogging soon.

I felt like going old-fashioned again, so I found this lovely little Regency-style dress by Duquesa on Marketplace:

Boogie on down with Humanoid

Boogie on down with Humanoid

Pity my poor neighbours IRL, because I’ve got the new Daft Punk single blasting through my stereo speakers and Mar’s dancing like a maniac in her skybox ;)

There’s a fab dollarbie dance out at Humanoid: the Kevin 31 street dance. It’s unisex and just one measly Linden Dollar. What are you waiting for?!

Hop behind the cut for your limo and a guide where exactly to find it on the Humanoid sim!
